Duotone DICE 2020

The new
DICE from Duoton
and is here! And this year comes with a couple of pretty interesting changes that make the DICE the kite of your dreams (or at least mine :-P)

With this article I intend to gather all the relevant links of the Dice so that you have everything in one place and just one click away. On the other hand, there is a question that I am asked a lot and I thought this was a good opportunity to solve the doubt:

“Julia, why are you sailing with DICE instead of sailing with VEGAS?”

Before I started kiting, I used to practice and compete in a lot of sports (sailing, canoeing, handball, athletics …) but, what most captured my attention about kite was the freedom that this sport gives you and how much you have to adapt to the conditions. If you think about it, when you train athletics, for example, today you can know what your training is going to be for the next 3 months. Weather conditions don’t matter. This, on the other hand, does not happen with the kite; every day is different, some days there is no wind and others there is a weaker, stronger wind… Wow, pure adaptation. Do you smell where the shots are going? Well, here are the reasons why I sail with DICE and not with another kite (like the Vegas) being able to be a kite that, potentially, suits my sailing style more:

  • You get to the beach, the wind is weak, loose, wow, it only gives you to go with the foil and a big kite. Surprise, you do not have to go to change kite because the Dice allows you to have a great time in the water with the foil.
  • Go, today you have reached the beach and there is a gale but, well, there is no evil that for good does not come. Today it’s big air. It turns out that the Dice, this year, has been modified so that you jump higher than ever and you can stick some brutal kiteloops.
  • You arrive at your favorite spot, dish water, 18 knots… Today is the day, session from freestyle to singing. Yes, it is true, the Dice is not a Vegas but, it allows you to do freestyle perfectly, I do all my tricks with it!
  • Waves, the waves have finally arrived! And it turns out that, once again, you don’t have to go home to get your wave kite because dice is a cometon in the waves. Wow, you come out of the water with a smile from ear to ear.

Even in the same day, the conditions can change and, you do not need to change kite, you can do everything with the Dice and I, personally, have decided to sacrifice a little quality in each of the disciplines for not having to mess up having hundreds of kites. I have an SUV that does everything and with which I have a great time.

In short, I choose DICE for two reasons:

  1. Traveling is much easier since I have a kite that does everything.
  2. Life in general and day to day is greatly simplified by having a kite that works very well in all disciplines.

Here I leave you the links that, from my point of view, are the most important about DICE 2020. They are all in English heh, heh, notice:

→OFFICIAL PAGE OF THE DICE

On the Duotone website you can find all the info about this cometón: https://bit.ly/2P4P7js

→OFFICIAL VIDEO 2020:
Haven’t seen it yet? It is cool a lot since in it you can not only find brutal action clips in a new location, but you can see and hear all the new features of the DICE 2020:

→INTERVIEW TO THE DESIGNER- RALF GRÖSEL
The vast majority of the time we sail with kites that have been designed by people we do not know, that is, you do not really know what style of navigation they have, how can you imagine if it is really the kite you are looking for? Well, DUOTONE gives you an interview with Ralf Grösel, the designer of dice so you can hear his point of view. Here it is:

I hope you enjoyed reading my point of view on the Duotone DICE 2020 and, above all, I hope you dare to try it and tell me what you thought.
