Second in the SFT Nador

The life of competition has been calling me back for a long time. After so many years of racing (for as long as I can remember), that feeling never completely disappears, it just waits for the right moment to return.

That moment could have come in Marchica, Nador (Morocco), where I competed in the SFT E-Foil World Cup and I got a second place!!

Held from 8 to 10 May 2026, the event has been an important milestone for the sport. It was the first stop of the SFT World Cup in Morocco and also the first SFT event in Africa, adding a new destination to the international foil calendar. Organized by Efoil Maroc who treated us amazing, I felt like a movie star and like they were my lifelong family.

FOIL DRIVE FUSION

Last year, back in November I received a message from the famous “Hi I’m Dom from Foil Drive”. He told me if I didn’t feel like racing in E-Foil in Abu Dhabi. And, what Dom doesn’t know, is that I don’t like to lose even Parcheesi.

In Abu Dhabi I was very close to the podium, and it left me very eager to start the year of competition, it is a new discipline for me.

This event has also been a very important project for me together with Foil Drive, as we came to Nador to test the new FUSION in an E-Foil racing format and understand if I could be on the podium in competition (since in Abu Dhabi I raced with the FOIL DRIVE MAX Gen 2).
Finishing in second place was a very encouraging result and a strong sign of what this set-up can offer.

Marchica, Nador

Located in the beautiful surroundings of the Marchica Lagoon Resort, the venue offered exactly the kind of conditions that make foil racing so exciting: flat water, open space for the course and a context that allows both sporting performance and enjoying an incredible place. Marchica Lagoon is establishing itself as a serious destination for water sports, and it’s easy to understand why. In addition, the food at the buffet is some of the best I’ve ever eaten and the rooms and facilities are absolutely crazy.

Nador also brings a very particular rhythm to the event. There’s a calm in the place that allows you to focus, adapt and compete well. Rather than feeling like a chaotic or saturated stop, the atmosphere in Marchica gives the competition a more technical and intentional character, something that fits particularly well with this format.

The SFT

For those who don’t know it yet, the SFT — Surf Foil World Tour is a professional tour designed to unify several foil disciplines under the same competitive structure. The circuit includes Surf Foil, Pump Foil, Wake Foil, E-Foil and Downwind Foil, and is helping to give these growing sports a stronger international platform.

The tour kicked off its inaugural season in 2025, with its first events, including the boot boot Düsseldorf. After officially completing that first season in early 2026, this year’s schedule represents the second season of the SFT.

Nador has been much more than just another stop on the calendar. It's felt like a significant step forward: for the sport, for the tour, and on a personal level, like a return to that competitive mindset that's always been part of who I am.
