It’s been two days since the awards ceremony and I still half that I don’t believe it. Since I started kiting 7 years ago, I always dreamed of competing with all the pros and, well, why not, get on the podium with them. It turns out that I got it and that I got it at one of the most prestigious events in the kite industry: the Wind Voyager Triple S Invitational!
The wind ended two days before the awards ceremony so it was 2 fairly long days of waiting. I knew I had done well but I wasn’t sure what position the judges would put me in… Sometimes it’s harder than anything because I don’t see myself doing the tricks so I know how I felt doing it but not how it looked from the outside. This year the level was very high, I think higher than ever and I am very proud to be part of a moment in history like this.
I hope that little by little, showing that girls also do tricks the prizes will get a little more similar.
On the day of the awards ceremony I was super nervous. I just wanted my name to be one of the last to be named. In the end it was the penultimate one. I left the stage with a
2nd place
!!!! On my first podium of the Triple S.
A thousand thanks to Real Watersports and Wind Voyager toorganize an event as brutal as this. Year after year they are overcome and it is a past to be part of it.
Also, thanks to the riders,
and especially to Noe Font
(for helping me in my heat to change kites) for the show. And last but not least, thank you to my sponsors
and family for trusting me and pushing me to be a better athlete and person.
