“Les Ailes de Saint-Tropez” is an international water sports and foiling event (SUP foil, wingfoil, kitesurfing, windsurfing) that brings together the best riders in the world in Saint-Tropez, with spectacular races and a unique atmosphere.
The atmosphere was amazing and quite different from what I’m used to, foil and SUP athletes always go with a smile on their faces and I had the feeling that they never wanted to get out of the water!
The event took us to Foil Drive, if you don’t know them yet, a product that has revolutionized the world of foil!
You no longer have to buy a super expensive and heavy foil that does not let you choose different combinations between foils and boards, now you just buy the engine, and put it to the board of your choice.
The team was made up of Dominic Hoskyns, the brand’s representative in Europe, Tom Earl, a crack in the waves, Team Italy, and with a tireless drummer: Teo Rofrano and Andrea, from Germany the great @foilonly and Nico Hopp.
We got in the water as many times as we could, we did a thousand shootings, we showed and gave Foil Drive to a lot of people to try and we laughed a lot in the process, always with a smile! … The truth is that it was a very fun week and we made a great team.
And how can we forget the “Foil Drive” downwind, in which more than 30 people were part of this race. It was a test because it’s one of the first to be done in the world, but I had an incredible time, all the downwind with my teammate
