Jaime Concept Blue 2026

21 years of Jaime

The Jaime from Duotone takes its name from Spanish kiteboarding pioneer Jaime Herraiz, one of the early freestyle innovators who helped define modern twin-tip riding.

In 2005 North (now Duotone) launched his pro model “Jaime,” a sandwich-construction twin tip that blew minds at the time and reshaped how kiteboards were built, to the point that its concept is still the backbone of today’s design.

The board has stayed in the line ever since, updated every season but always keeping the same spirit: a high-performance yet accessible freestylefreeride board that reflects how Jaime himself rode—powerful, stylish, and versatile.

Who is it for?

I’d say the Jaime is for riders who are past the pure-beginner phase and want a board that lets them boost, do basic to advanced freestyle, and still cruise comfortably in everyday conditions. It suits intermediate to advanced kiters who like strong pop, good grip and upwind performance, but who don’t want a super-niche wakestyle plank—think big-air/freestyle-oriented freeriders who want one board to do almost everything.
