SYNOPSIS

One day, standing on the cliff of a beach whose name I cannot reveal, I felt as if the wind and the sea were pushing me toward something unknown. I did not jump into the water, but I discovered that I had begun another journey: one inward.

Beyond the Plan is a documentary journey that begins by tracing the story of Julia, a girl born on the island of Fuerteventura. Her life story reveals surprising and previously unexplained aspects of the sea, the mind, the life of an athlete, and the island itself.

We quickly see ourselves reflected in that life and the great unknown of not knowing what the next plan will be. In that uncertain future, we discover that Fuerteventura is a place we must experience and, above all, preserve.

Julia invites us to learn about her story and discover her island, Fuerteventura, from a perspective never seen before, but the real journey takes place within oneself.

Between plans, tides, and setbacks, we discovered that change begins when we dare to look beyond what we expected.

It is not a story of achievements, but of challenges that make us question ourselves. A personal portrait that serves as a mirror for us all to see ourselves. The sea, the island, its wind and currents teach us that every drop counts and that history and the future are written with small, almost invisible gestures, but ones that are full of meaning.
