ION Women Camp with Julia Castro: We’re heading back to Tarifa
From October 23 to 25, we came together in Tarifa for the third ION Women Camp with Julia Castro—the second one this year after our July edition! I was so excited that ION decided to do it again, as we usually only hold one camp a year.
There were more than 20 of us from all over Spain—and one even came from Germany! We were a group with different skill levels, a real eagerness to learn and, above all, a warmth and kindness that made these days truly special.
Wind, water and plenty of enthusiasm
This edition also brought a lovely surprise: one of the participants was Kira Miró, a fellow Canary Islander and an actress I really admire. I had no idea she was coming, and I was so excited to meet her and share stories and reflections with her. And that’s something I’ll take away from the whole group: the people you meet and the moments you share off the water, too.
ION, Sandra y Laura, ¡¡thank you!!
Thank you to Sandra and Laura for organizing this experience together with ION, and to ION for continuing to support us and creating a safe space where we can enjoy the sea, learn and build confidence together.
And thank you to all the girls for bringing so much enthusiasm and making this camp their own. I’m leaving with wonderful memories and can’t wait to do it all again!
