A fews ago I had the great opportunity to travel to the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina thanks to IWWF (International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation). I went there to help out with the Wakeboarding Boat World Championships. The competition took place in between the 18th and the 24th of March and I feel super lucky to have give the chance to go there and help out. The event was totally lit. Please note that this pictures are not even close from representing what I saw there but, at least you get an idea (and the rest you can see on Facebook).
I have to admit that this trip was awesome for many reasons… I loved to get to know the boat world; before this event I had not much idea about it, never jumped on a boat before, never saw a boat or someone riding it in real life… And it’s totally stunning and incredible to watch, please, if you have the chance, jump on a boat or go see a comp. You will be blown away!
On the other hand, I was blown away by the level, not only from the open categories but also from the kiddos. The future is looking bright. I also got the chance to meet a few old friends that I didn’t see for many years and, well, many more things but, generally, I am very delighted with the boat community; hard working people, always with a smile, up for anything you ask them… Yay!
I also found totally awesome the city itself, Buenos Aires is beautiful, it got a lot of contrast, a lot of art and beautiful people. It also got 15 million inhabitants! I could only find time to go to the wate 1 day and went to the first ever full size cablepark of Argentina Pampa Cablepark! A must if you visit Argentina, obstacles are just soooo good! Can’t wait to go back! Go visit, visit, visit! If you want to check out some of the things we did, go click on this links and find anything you can think off (or almost):

Thanks a lot to everyone involved in this competition (competitors, organizers, helpers, sponsors, photographers, spectators… Everyone!). It was a total pleasure to be part of this, I feel really lucky to have witnessed all the action, emotions, tears and more that went down, and… I can’t totally wait to be back!🙂
Nos vemos en el agua,
