On the two-hour drive to the hotel he explains everything about the country, the waves, its history and takes you to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montanitaestates.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Hotel Monta\u00f1ita Estates<\/strong><\/a>, which will be your home for the next 2 weeks. The jetlag hits hard, you are tired so you decide to spend the afternoon in the jacuzzi of your room observing the jungle.  <\/p><p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">The next day, Henri, who everyone calls <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/mentolfoil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Menthol<\/strong><\/a> (to find out why, you&#8217;re going to have to come and let him tell you), takes you to your first foiling session. From Guayaquil airport, Monta\u00f1ita is approximately a two-hour transfer depending on traffic. My favorite spot was undoubtedly &#8220;The Laboratory&#8221;. To find out where it is, you will have to contact your friends of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/ecuadorfoil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Ecuador Foil<\/strong><\/a>. They will be your best guides during your stay in the country.   <br><br>I spent most of my time catching waves with my <a href=\"https:\/\/eu.foildrive.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Foil Drive<\/strong><\/a> around the peaks of <strong>Monta\u00f1ita, <\/strong>all within 30-40 minutes of the hotel. The catch? It is difficult to calculate the timing due to the tides, so it is essential to connect with local guides. I only wore a lycra for sun protection and my new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ion-products.com\/en\/products\/ion-surf-shield-tights-long-2026-48260-4123\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>anti-cut pants from ION,<\/strong><\/a> which surprised me for being incredibly breathable despite being thick and black. Air temperatures hover around <strong>28-32\u00b0C<\/strong> during the humid day, so expect to sweat. Nights cool down to what I consider perfect temperatures\u2014still warm but wonderfully comfortable.   <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div stay?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cf5fbbb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"cf5fbbb\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montanitaestates.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Monta\u00f1ita Estates Hotel (ME)<\/strong> <\/a>became my base, and honestly, exceeded my expectations in everything. My room on the second floor had jungle views and a hot tub that I used daily after foiling. The property has multiple pools, space for children, lightning-fast internet to upload content and work and the best water pressure I&#8217;ve ever experienced.
